Technical Codes: The shot of 50 cent is from the perspective of someone on the same eye-level a 50 cent. This could suggest that the person who is reading the advert has the same amount of power as 50 cent, meaning that everyone is equal to him which conveys that the advice from his quote can be followed by everyone. The picture of 50 cent is also in monochrome which connotes formality and helps maintain the colour scheme. Written or verbal codes: The slogan "i am what i am" reinforces the quote above. It is also bigger than the actual quote itself  suggesting that it is more important. It could also be seen as an anchorage text to hook the read er. Symbolic or non-verbal codes: 50 cent is wearing a gangster-like outfit which is indicative of his roots from the hood. 50 cent's facial expression is quite serious which connotes formality.
